Family home burns down second time in one year

I was at both of these fires..

SARANAC - A fire destroyed a Saranac home owned by Greg and Becky Griffin at 5328 Bennett Road around 4 p.m. Monday, leaving Saranac fire chief Jim Darby to declare the house a “complete loss.”

It was the second time the home at that address has been demolished by a fire, after a blaze destroyed the home last October.

The family was not home when that fire occurred, either.

Darby said neither fire appeared suspicious, but added that it was “incredibly hot” Monday and that firefighters had to rotate in and out to cope with the fire.

Saranac, Berlin-Orange and Clarksville fire departments responded.

that is interesting and I would think make some people suspicious. It is terrible for the family though...

Hmmm... either incredibly bad luck or they're doing something wrong. We had a house that suffered three separate fires over a couple of years, and it ended with an arson arrest.
