Don't Weep For Me

My days are numbered,

My card has not yet been drawn,

But when that day comes and I am gone,

Don't weep for me,

Just remember I was there,

To help others I didn't even know,

And never will,

I put smiles on those who were sad,

And held others when it was bad,

And even mad some mad,

Don't weep for me,

I lived a life not many knew exactly about,

I risked my life many times,

Just to go on with the rest of time,

Don't weep for me,

That day will come

I'll answer the last call,

Just remember, I gave it my all,

Don't weep for me,

I didn't go in vain,

Nor against my will,

I did it for the job,

I vowed to fulfill,

Don't weep for me,

I am a firefighter ,

Who answered the last call.
