We just got back from another activated alarm. My tillerman tells me it is too hot back in the box, but I would have no idea as the rest of us are sitting in the relative comfort of our poooorly air conditioned cab (like all those o's?). Of course, I have my turnouts on, but at least I had the foresight to leave my gear under the HVAC vent in the station, so it stays cool for about 20 minutes, which is what it should take to go out, get staged, and get turned around (AGAIN). So we just tease him over the headset and tell him that maybe we need to get him a cool-vest or something for back there.

On a normal day it wouldn't be too bad with both sides open, but tonight it's like 90 out at 2200 hours and any breeze is just like standing in front of a heater or something. If anyone has any ideas for us to taunt him some more, I'll let him know that you are all cheering for him or something. Maybe he'll stop whining. Or maybe we can just unplug his headset. Now there's a thought...
