Still Waiting...
Well, I've been out of fire school for 2 months now. I've applied for volunteer positions at a few departments with no luck yet....who knew it would be so hard to get someone to let me work for them for free? Thought I had it in the bag, but I guess not. So, I've got a stack of app's that I'm going to fill out and deliver, then...fingers crossed!!
Still, I hang on to the thrill of fire school....the emotions, the pain, the sweat, the bruises, the frustration, the joy, the pride, the elation.....and hope some department somewhere will let me do it all again, for them and our community.

Fort Wayne will be taking apps next month. Hiring 20 next year. Only need to be trained to the EMT-B level. Will have to go through "rookie" school again. Roughly 20 weeks.

Leave Ohio...come to PA. You could join my company in a heartbeat. We're ALWAYS looking for volunteers. There are even some paid crews in the area you could probably get on!
