My name is Alexandria, and I have been a Voluneteer fire fighter 1 year now. I am trying to get a quilt going with as many departments nation wide represented. I am working on getting patches put on a square of cloth 12" X 12" signed by your department, so that we can start getting this quilt off the ground. Also we would like to honor all of those who have lost their lives doing what they loved. If you can get me that information, that will be the center part of the quilt. I will take care of putting the names and dates and departments on which they served. We want to honor as many departments as possible, so along with the patch, we want to get something about each department that we can put in a book to go along with the quilt as it grows. We are wanting to get this thing so big that it will fill a football field when completed. Once this quilt gets going, we will start displaying it and we will keep posting pics of it and its progress and hopefully get it traveling around the nation a little at a time. This is for every department, no matter how big or small, professional or volunteer, we are all brothers and sisters.
