i read something in fire chief i think . that cat and cummins werent going to power any more fire appratus after 2008

I prefer Cummins myself. A good friend of mine powers his fleet with Cummins. He also has a few pulling trucks with Cummins in them, from mildly massaged to insane amounts of power and smoke. Our firehouse is split between Cummins and IH. Our Ford F-550 and International 4900 are powered with IH engines.
