The Lifesaving Resources' 2011
International Water Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy will be conducted May 19 - 22 in Keene, New Hampshire. This intensive 3.5-day (38-hour) training program is designed to train and authorize representatives of Fire, Rescue, EMS, and Law Enforcement personnel as Water Rescue Instructors on behalf of their own departments, in cooperation with Lifesaving Resources (
lifesaving.com). Upon successful completion, graduates are authorized to conduct Water Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level, as well as Swiftwater Rescue Technician level courses.
The purpose of the Lifesaving Resources' Water & Swiftwater Rescue training programs is to provide Public Safety and Rescue personnel with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively respond to incidents in, on, and around the water, including swimming pools, lakes, open water, and moving water. These courses meet and exceed NFPA 1670 Standard for Technical Rescue. Currently, Lifesaving Resources has over 300 authorized instructors throughout the U.S. and Canada.
