Memorial Service Broadcast: Sunday, October 3, 2010 9:00 am - 12:30 p.m. EST
(Telecast Begins at 9:30 a.m.; Service Begins at 10 a.m. Eastern Time)
This year if you are unable to travel to Emmitsburg you can still take part in the NFFF 2010 Memorial Weekend ceremonies
direct from your computer. You can also share the memorial service and
honor the fallen by broadcasting the event on your department website of
blog.
Be aware that the live streaming video code is brought to us courtesy of WUSA9 and will carry only the Candlelight Service and Memorial Service broadcasts on the dates and times listed. Other news broadcasts may be playing before and after the scheduled times, so be sure to manage and update your site or blog appropriately.
You can also display the tribute widget in three different sizes to suit your space. New for this year, the NFFF will have the tribute widget running continuously, even after the memorial weekend. Also new for this year, the memorial service will honor our fallen military firefighters who have died in the line of duty. If you use the widget or stream the live video, or even do both, let the NFFF know at webteam@firehero.org.
They will be proud to publicly thank you here.
Throughout this last week of September some of FireEMSBlogs.com's contributors have posted their own tributes and recognition to the fallen. You can follow their updates at NFFF Weekend 2010. Don't forget the NFFF's Virtual Banner, where you can pay tribute or share a special memory.
Be sure to remember the dates and share the live memorial services saluting our fallen firefighters.
