Does your department have a written policy regarding firefighters taking photos at an MVA or fire scene with private camera phones? Have you had problems with the posting of such photos on social networking websites?

I must have fallen asleep and woken up in a very ugly world. There are people posting on a blog on ctpost.com criticizing firefighters for conducting boot drives to raise money for the fallen brothers' families and for showing up in such large numbers because "they're union guys. There are equally obnoxious posts on facebook. What is going on? Are there people that insensitive and full of hate out there?

The Bridgeport brothers are now with those of America's Bravest that left us way too soom. May God bless their families, friends and the BFD brothers they left behind. Rest in peace!

Has anyone else read the comments on blogs pointing the finger at the fallen brothers in Bridgeport for not monitoring their air supply more closely? I can't stand it anymore!
