How Sleep Deprivation is Effecting Your Firefighters

Prolonged shift work is putting today's firefighters at a greater risk of developing sleep deprivation and fatigue which then contributes to an increase in accidents and injuries. The IAFC and USFA in partnership with researchers at Oregon Health & Science University have put together a comprehensive report on sleep deprivation and strategies to combat the effects of fatigue.
