I AGREE. THATS A GREAT IDEA. WE ARE VOLUNTEER AS WELL. OUR RED GEAR WAS DONATED BECAUSE THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY IT. WE HAVE 4 TRUCKS BUT ON ANY GIVEN DAY, ONLY 1 MAYBE 2 WILL START. WE CALL IN MIDDLEBURY FD, FOR EVERY CALL

Thinking about it though, the red gear for a probie may not be a bad idea. Locally, we just use orange helmets for Juniors. the rest of us wear the same gear, and since we are all volunteer, you do not know how much (or little) training that guy from the next in company has. May need to kick this to the forum for some thoughts.
