My Training:

I work my tail off 10 times harder to prove to the men that i am as good as them, even if i dont have too.

About Me:

From day one my home for ems is pike co. kentucky. i cut my teeth in ems there and will always call it my home. i really think i saw more in my first month or 2 than most have their whole carreers. i joke with my first partner and tell him that i will never run with him again because for the first month every monday nite we hauled a 10-7,(a dead body). when i say every monday nite i mean it. we were always out till 2-3 am with the state police and/or city police at the scenes. joy joy.
now i am a mother of 2 beautiful kids, ella grace 2, and jacob luke 1 month old. the father is a paramedic/ff. unfortunately i think it runs in the genes!! lol
i love ems!!! but i am going to do my best to keep the kids away from it. hopefully the only way either of them will put a stethoscope around their necks is when not if they become a doctor.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I got tired of seeing all the innocent childern getting hurt or worse.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

knowing that i have made a difference in someones life, seeing the thank you in their faces when they arent able to say it out loud.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

alot of things. close to where i live there is a church and their sign says...firefighters resuce only jesus saves
i dont know if i should feel the way i do about that but it bothers me. if we didnt save their lives, how could god or jesus save their souls? just a thought
