- Started out as a junior firefighter in the mid 80's. Received my EMT at age 16 and moved into senior fire fighter at age 18. Became Asst. Chief at age 21. Moved away and returned home after a few years and became Rescue Captain then again Asst. Chief. I now belong to a different department which if I have my way will be the one I retire from. I was also EMS Chief at a former place of employment.
