About Me:
I started with a volunteer in 1992 as a 1st Responder. After two years of experience I obtained my EMT Cert with the PA DOH in 1994 and ran as a volly until 1997 when I became paid with South Central EMS and I have been running with them since. I have been paid with several other companies as listed above. I am currently a paid EMT with West Shore EMS in Camp Hill Pennsylvania. I am also a volunteer FF / EMT with Duncannon Fire Company in Duncannon, PA (Perry County). The home of the Almighty 2 House.
I plan on attending HACC within the next five years to work on obtaining my EMT-P for the state.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My dad was a FF in Colonial Park when I was a kid. I grew up in the firehouse so that is something that I always wanted to do. After being in a serious MVA in 87 I decided that I wanted to help others as I was helped. I started as a junior FF and moved into EMS. I have not been able to get away since.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
helping those that need it. Whether that is taking a "boo boo" to the hospital in an ambulance or helping someone in a crash, either way it makes one feel a sense of accomplishment.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of volunteers and the dangers facing the responders
