Top Issues Facing Responders:

In my department it is the merging of fire and ems which took place about 6 years ago, but we are still struggling to get people to do and respect both aspects of the profession. Also, the health and wellness of our firefighters. Too many firefighters are still not taking care of them selves. Even after we had one of our brothers die from a heart attack following a fire @ 37 years old. Poor diets and lack of physical activity kills more firefighters than any thing else.
