i was with lvfd for a few years but had to move so i was out of fire fighting for a time but last year i moved to a small town that neede help i hope i can always do whatever it takes to help save life or property... my oldest son is now getting involved in our love for this work i hope he has the gift to give his all like his old msn has.......

i wont lie ,, the adrenilin rush but truley knowing in my abbility that if needed i might be the one to save another humanor his property.....

Top Issues Facing Responders:

financial its tough running a dept on what moneys is allotted, in rural areas one major run can cost alot on fire apperatus in damages, wear, and if you only have a set amount of funds thats it for the year.... another problem with small depts. are getting good dependable vols. who wont pick and choose when the tone sounds some people think thier to good to fight a feild fire or trash fire they only want the glory of a big fire....
