My Grandfather was a fireman for 21 years also operated a funeral home for 30. I joined in my mid twenties for just something to do

Not sure what it is exactly, But I love every second of it!

Top Issues Facing Responders:

We have a whole lot of issues. We are expected to be efficient at all types of rescue, fire supression, and EMS. THere are only so many hours in a day and have so much to keep up with. It is tough to manage, A good training cirriculum will be key for a departments success. Also included in a departments success would be the fact of recognizing that the citizens we protect are also our customers and we must provide our customers with the best service that we can to continue their patronage.
