About Me:

Joined Abingdon Fire Dept. 7yrs. I loved everything about it from the bells and smells to the all out structer. So with that said I decided to join as a career firefighter somewhere. I tested for firefighter pos. near my current location and finally this year I got the break I had been waiting on. It's not a real fancy dept., and I ride and ambulance alot, but I still fight fire.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Budget cuts, they have effected everything we do. When we get our budget cut we don't get things that we need such as turnout gear; engines; ems supplies. In my opinion they need to resort to some other means of finding money not taking it away from us the ones that protect them.
