Why I Joined Fire/EMS

It just happened one day, somebody needed help and I was there and got recruited by the volunteer fire department members after they showed up. Now i am an EMT with a volunteer ambulance and also a FF on the volunteer dept.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I like knowing that I was able to help somebody (and I love the lights and sirens)

Top Issues Facing Responders:

legalities. Everybody is so sue happy that it's almost scary to help somebody. Training and pay (either rate for career dept. or loss of wages for volunteers leaving work to respond)
