About Me:

I'm just a good ole' boy that started off in the fire service right out of high school. My daily job that pays the bills has changed a few times throughout the years but the fire service has been a constant in my life. I started off as a fire fighter served my time there for a few years then was promoted to lieutenant. From the promotion to lieutenant our department had a change of leadership and I was suddenly the Assistant Chief. I served in the Assistant Chief capacity for a few years when the then Chief decided to leave which made me the acting Chief. I served proudly in the position as Fire Chief for about a year and then realized it was time for my life to take a different road. Once I started flight school I had to give up my position due to lack of time I had that I could commit to the department. Now I am serving proudly as a Sargent in the department that I have been associated with for over a decade now.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

To serve my community. I initially started volunteering with my department as a way to burn time in the evenings but it blossomed into a full blown passion of helping others in need. For a few years between 1998 and 2002 I served for 2 separate volunteer departments, one in the county and one in the city. I just couldn't get enough of helping others.
