About Me:
I am a high school senior, and i am going to LSSU to get my fire science BS in the EMT engineering route next year. i am currently a cadet at a fire station near my town and i have family members in firefighting. i have also had my share of experiences with EMT's and fire fighters haha.i have spoken with the Fire science professor, James Shaefer, and i am looking forward to going there next year. i am really big into cempetative swimming and physical activities, i like being active and around peaople. i love doing community service and helping peaople in any possible way and i go on mission trips yearly to other states. well thats a little abiut me and i look foward to possibly seeing any of you at LSSU within the next year.

Alec Catherwood, Hometown Hero will be missed

Last Thursday, a young mane, Alec Catherwood, was killed in action while serving for our country in Afghanistan. He will be dearly missed and greived by many. Alec was only 19 and a volunteer fireman. please pray for his family for they are taking this very hard. Please pray for his Fiance as she will be haveing a very hard time coming for her. please pray for our community as we are hurting badly right now, alec was a very big party of his community, he always had a smile on…

You will love it at LSSU the teachers are great at what they do, and the school atmosphere is one on one and very helpful. When I went there I had no experience in firefightering and now I am on a full time department that does EMT as well as rescue. So if you chose to go there you will be glad you did, the program was changing for the better.
