Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Way back in the day, the local volunteer ambulance service was in dire need of EMT's and I had planned to pursue a career in law enforcement. One seemed to tie to the other and I went to EMT-A class at night while still in high school. One thing lead to another, and while I was in college was recruited by the local ALS service to staff the "transfer car". I became in the fire side through Explorer's and a local volunteer department. The rest is history.

Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you but I'm not on here much. Broadway at the Beach will have an extensive list of places to eat and things to do - everything from movies, piano bar, aquarium, great food, rock wall etc. Outside of there Miyabi Japanese Steakhouse, and Rio's are good options in Myrtle Beach. If you get down towards Murrell's Inlet there are all kinds of places right on the beach and it's a fun place to hang out. Murrell's Inlet and Garden City areas are probably the better beaches as there are less people but you will be there at the end of tourist season so anywhere you go may be less crowded by then. Ocean Blvd has a lot of toursity type things to do as well - small amusement and water parks, bungee swings, helicopter rides, parasailing etc. The Market Common is very nice for shopping and is located on the old military base. Tanger Outlet Malls also have nice shopping. I haven't lived here long so I don't know a lot of places but hopefully this helps!
