Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Started working at a funeral home,working with a coroner-hated that we rushed to scenes where nothing could be done.Became a paramedic,because I felt my EMT was just limiting my ability to provide better care.Plus I love people and their stories.Good or bad, every experience is a gem.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Mass casualty incidents and coordination.You can train-do mock ups-but the golden key in our field is experience.In a large city so many resources need to be on line,and I feel most people think 9/11 couldnt happen here.
