Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Riding my bike one day at 15 and saw a car accident where the local rescue squad did not have the equipment nor the training to do the job properly. Three people died! Later that year a friend who owned a service station where I washed cars for school money asked me to spend the night with him at the volunteer rescue station. That was that!!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Keeping people safe and alive!
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of training and experience

Glad you joined up. I have joined a couple of groups that discuss training issues, such as "Trainers Corner" and "Training Ideas". I have not found any groups that talk about ventilation. There is a truckie group called, "Cancel the Engine" that should be interesting to follow.
