A little about me, I was a part time paid FF/Medic in a small town department. I've held several positions in other departments including: EMS Coordinator, taught EMT Basic, CPR Instructor. Right now I'm not active due to Crohn's Disease and a bum L knee. Hope to get back to it at some point if I can get the Crohn's in remission and get the knee (meniscus) fixed.
I wish I could be a career fire fighter but unfortunately our department is primarily volunteer and the paralegal thing pays so well I can't quite follow my heart just yet...once I've got my daughter through law school and my son through whatever course he chooses I may just change careers!
Welcome to the Nation! I'm new, too. Nice to meet another girl in the service. I agree with your statement that Fire is a great workout. Looking forward to talking to you soon.
