Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I remember laying in bed listening to my husbands pager, tones dropped and off they went. I stayed up until I heard that they were back at the station safe. I would listen to every word spoken and not miss a thing! I remember one night as I listened to a call I thought to myself what am I doing?? I can be out helping them. I have no problem getting up at 2AM!! So here I am. I just graduated from Firefighter 1 in 6/12 and plan on taking many more classes.
