Paramedic Engineer: Swift Water tech, Trench Rescue, hazmat -Fro (used to be tech in both hazmat and confine space) USAR-1, various rescue training with high angle and ropes, like the rest of us.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Accidently fell into the job. Was working at an industrial mill, and was recruited to join the dept. 10 years later laterial over to CALFIRE where i've happily been for 9 years.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

destroying someones house and they thank you for it.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Lack of experience in our younger generation. To many of our experience leaders are retiring prior to passing on the training and experience. Our mid level personnal are taking extra responsiblity and duties with out duelly noted chief officers and capts for support.
