About Me:

I have been involved in the fire service one way or another since 1975. I am nearing retirement and really not ready for it. I love the fire service because of what we do. I don't really like the politics involved though especially the anti-employee issues going on today.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the fire service mainly because I don't remember ever wanting to do anything else.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Because I feel that it is a noble profession. I feel that it is like being in warrior in battle because you can face extremely dangerous situations head-on.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

The anti-union mood today. The decisions being made by politicians who are elected and really do not understand what we do or how dangerous our job truely is.
