I am a Mother of 4 ...(his and hers) and I also have a 2 year old Grandson! My Husband is also a firefighter, so we really make the department our second home..I enjoy gardening, canning, sewing, writting, and reading. I have lots of pets and enjoy taking care of them..Our pug Gizmo is our baby...so she thinks...

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

my husband had been on a rural dept as a volunteer for 13 years before he and I started dating..I became involved with the Chapman Dept when he joined by going to meetings and functions, with my nursing and medical background the Fire Chief recruited me and before I knew it I was at fire school training with the firefighters ...Then the EMT..

Why I Love Fire/EMS

It's been my lifes calling to help people..I knew as a young child I was going to be a nurse or doctor or firefighter...make people all better..well I went to nursing school and I am a nurse, and I am a EMT-B and I am a Firefighter...not a doctor though...but I do try to help people feel better or get them to a doctor so they can start feeling better soon...It's just what I was born to do I guess
