I really enjoy babysitting adults, but really enjoy helping the members or our local communities.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Balancing the mandatory training required by state & federal agencies and trying to keep volunteers up to date with required training requirements. As an EMS director & Captain with the fire dept., it is hard to get volunteers to comply with mandatory training requirements with their busy work & family schedules. Many of our staff works miltiple jobs to make ends meet financially and it is hard to be a hardnose and take people off the roster since they may not have attended to required training requirements. These people are busy & feel pushed out when they are removed off the active member list until they have fulfilled their required training responsiblities
