Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Well when I was a young boy my dads truck caught fire next to our house and within minutes the fire department showed up and put it out before it could spread. that day on I wanted to be a firefighter.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
As I got older my obsession with firefighting kept growing as did my understanding of the job. When I took a field trip to the fire academy in 11th grade my my heart dropped. I was instantly In love with the complexity of firefighting and was consumed with the urge to learn more. I became obsessed with the physical and mental challenges firefighters are faced with. When I took Firefighter 1 I Filled a void in my life because Firefighting to me isn’t a job it’s a passion I want firefighting to be my life. I want To belong to a team that works together to adapt, improve and overcome its challenges. I want to belong to a family that protects each other and its community. To me there is no greater feeling then being a part of something bigger than yourself.
