I have been Trained in Structure Fire Fighting,Wildland Fire Fighting,Rope Rescue,Extrication,Cave rescue, Ems,Cpr,etc,etc.

About Me:

I'm married we have two kids boy and a girl, ages 10&12 also have a boy an 4 girls that are married with kids of thier own. I have been involved with Fire/Ems for 24 years as a Paid on call FF/Emt the fire personnel here in Payson, and the other surounding area F.D.s do it all. I am and was very proud to belong in the fire service. I love to hunt,fish,playsports,Basketball,football,softball,volleyball,bike riding,hikeing,I use to manage some garbage Companys here in town for 8 yrs, then I started my own garbage hauling business I sold it after 5 yrs, an started a taxi business, all the while workingfire/Ems on weekends,evenins,holidays, I had a pager so I was able to work this way because I was a Paid on Call fire person/Emt, the fire dept was the most AWESOME job I ever had.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

when I was in elementary school we lived across the street from Central Fire Dept, I would go get lunch sometimes for the on shift Fire people, from a little burger placearound the corner I always said I would be a Fireman when I grew up I never lost the excitment I would feel watching the guys sliding down the poles getting on the big red trucks an coming out of the station horns blaring,and the emergency lights flashing enroute to help people in trouble,so when I got the chance my dream job came true an soon I WAS DRIVEING one of the big red trucks enroute to help someone in need or trouble.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Because I like helping people in need or in trouble, and the job is exciteing.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Responders never know what is burning in that structure or vehicle fire that could cause them health problems later in life, things are always changeing, the materials that make up the newer cars, the meth labs,shortages in man power because cities and towns dont have the budgets to pay that extra person to help on calls or new equipment so on and so on.
