I was introduced into the Fire Department and decided I wanted to become an EMT. I started out as a Basic (of course) then did my 36 hour course with my oldest son, the following year I went back for my paramedic. I liked being a basic but feeling helpless when I knew I could do more so I obtained my medic.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love eing able to help others in need.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
House Bill 128. Use to we could use our Association Members who obtained a CPR card to drive our squad with appropriate drivers training. With being such a small department at Harrison, this sometimes prevents our squad from rolling and having to call a private ambulance service. Luckily at Liberty, we have a large number of personnel that we don't have to call for private ambulance service very often.
