widowed since 2007 when my wife was killed responding to a fire call just joined back on the dept. after taking time off. was ast. chief at the time of my wifes death and the first, first responder to arrive at her crash. Just trying to move on and work at it day by day.

Bob, It didn't feel right to respond to your "Most memorable alarm" publicly. For me, your story took shock and awe to new hieghts. All of us, with family on the road, have responded to alarms anticipating the worst. It happened to a past chief friend of mine and I'm so sorry it came true for you too. Your time off was a very good move and your return to the service showed a great strength of character. Our world needs us and your world needs you. My prayers are with you. Keep The Faith
