Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the fire department in 1988 because i felt that living in a samll town, it was just the right thing to do. Most of the citizens are either family or friends and serving your community is what it is all about. Since I joined, I have held the positions of Captain, Assistant Chief, and now Chief for the past thirteen years. It must be in the blood because my father was in the Air Force fire service and now my Wife and oldest Daughter are both firefighters and EMTs.
