Job Function: Training Officer, Safety Officer, Lieutenant, Firefighter / EMT-Basic, Firefighter, First Responder, Hazardous Materials Team Member, Emergency Management Coordinator/Staff, Driver / Engineer, Other Emergency Services Staff

Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations: FEMA; Reservist DAE, Debris Management and investigation, PA

My Training:: Debris Management, Debris safety patrol and Investigation, Public Assistance, Damage assesment, ICS 100 200 300 400 700 800 From both EMI and NFA.
Haz Mat, Structural and Industrial Firefighting, Search and Rescue, Wildland, List goes on.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Because no matter how many certificates or positions held and years of experience I have, You still keep on learning something new, If its from a well seasoned firefighter or a younger one.
Its great to have confidence in yourself in which you do but there is a big difference in having confidence and being cocky. I known some that were too cocky and some were injured or even killed at a fire due to cockiness, Quote " Well I have all these certificates and a thicker folder then most older members, So I'm better then them". Not true.
You learn something new every day and as I said, It's great to have CONFIDENCE not COCKINESS.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: I Love helping others and my community and surrounding communities. Just the satisfaction knowing I am doing something good for people in need of help and assistance.

The radio shorted and had a hot mike while the mechanical siren was spooling up. We are still without a station. They have finaaly decided on building us a new building at a different location.
