Why I Joined Fire/EMS
During the 1960's daytime firefighter manpower response was extremely low for VFD's &. A drive was made to recruit high school students of age. Already interested in firefighting i Joined
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Fire & EMS service is a profession that provides a internally good feeling when lives and property are saved even without being applauded. Fire & EMS service also provides an extended family atmosphere.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Hazardous conditions from more toxic material consumed in fire. More traffic to manuver during responses. Economic conditions impacting the ability to support family and be available to respond to emergencies.
