Live in rural area of Northern California. Not as active with the volunteer department as I would like and retired from the Sheriff Department.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

We had no fire department in 1962 when my father was killed trying to help a neighbor put out a fire using a ag sprayer. Within a year we formed a volunteer fire department using contrubutions from area citizens and businesses. I have been with the department since and participated in several strike teams when I was younger. I loved working with other comminity member volunteers.
