I have taken and completed: Firefighter I, Trench Rescue I, Hazmat Awareness, CPR and First Aid, Pump I, Pump II, NIMS 700 and others.

About Me:

I am a member of an all volunteer company that runs about 600 calls a year and is part of a department that runs approximately 3,000 calls annually. I am active crew secretary and make about 50% of the calls run per year. I love the fire service and my company and hope to be a part of both for a very long time.

I'm still figuring that out for myself. I've always had a passion for it and since I've joined it's only grown stronger.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Personal safety in a world that is becoming more dangerous through synthetics, plastics and cheaper, weaker materials. Increases in urban sprawl have also put a heavier burden on volunteer companies that surround metropolitan areas and cities who, with fewer and fewer members each year, are forced to run more and more calls.
