Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To saves lives and property of course!...really, I was young, first kid on the way, and needed a good job. I very quickly came to love what we all do.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
We can see the results of what we do through improvements in the safety and survivability of the people we protect. Not much more satisfying work than that.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
1) Effects of economy on department budgets
2) Safety and Survivability of the Fire Fighter
3) Need to update training/process/programs to catch up with new technology, information, and much more dangerous work enviroment (emergecny scene)
