About Me:

My husband and I established the Polk Co. VFD in 1973.
Quit 6 day a week office job to become a FF and Sec. for County FD., with approx. 200+ trained FF's and in 1992 became EMA Director, position I still hold.

Self Satisfaction of being able to help someone in need.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Funding for training and equipment. Need training facality bad due to being Volunteer FD, Firefighters cannot leave paid jobs for month at time to do training out of town. This is my next goal.
