About Me:

My name is Pam Yochum I love being on the fire department even though I am the only female on our department at this time. The guys aren’t that bad just over protective sometimes but that can be nice at times too. My dad is the chief and is much harder and my and my brother because he refuses to show any favoritism at all and I wouldn’t have it any other way because that pushes me to be a better firefighter and person. I moved to Monroe City about 2 years ago which is just the next town over from where the department I’m on is. I am living with my boyfriend who is on Harrison Township. His name is Mike Woolard and him and his two boys are my world i love them with all my heart.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the fire department when I got out of high school. It is something that i grew up around all my uncles and my grandfathers and my dad and brother have been on a fire department at some point in time or they still are on the fire department. And I have wanted to be a firefighter all my life because of this so I joined to fulfill my dreams and to help others. I became a first responder a year into my career as a volunteer.
