About Me:
Well most of this is explained in my training. I have been in 5 working structure fires, 8 industrial fires, 15 outdoor fires, 8 search and rescue operations, 23 MVC with extracation, 48 without, 8 water rescues, 3 Ice water rescues,7 Hazmat incidents, 1000+ EMS runs. I enjoy EMS more than fire, but enjoy Rescue more than both. I am one of the lead instructors of our cities Fire Explorer program, and do some instructing of the cities fire fighters on occasion mostly in the EMS field. I am currently enrolled in paramedic school, 6 more months to go. I do not by any means think that I know everything, I am always willing and most times excited to learn new techniques and gather more information.
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I got in to just kill a little extra time on my volunteer department, liked it so much that I changed career and am working towards full time status.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The challenge, both mentally and physically
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Standardization of training nationally so no matter what state you are in you have an idea of the basic training that responding fire and rescue crews have. And it makes it easier to move from state to state as a fire fighter ems as well.
