Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I wanted to make a difference in my community, I wanted to serve the people I see, know,or don't know. I wasn't able to serve my country do to an injury in high school, so I felt becoming a fire fighter and medical First responder was the closest thing to serving, I've done it for around 18 year, and now my son who I have raised solo since he was just 5 months old is following in my footsteps. He is currenly going through Fire School currently. I must have done something right.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
being able to meet all walks of life. helping a friend to a stranger, helping people at their worst days
Top Issues Facing Responders:
holding in critical incidents that are bothering them, all I have to say is whatever you do, DO NOT HOLD IT IN! no one will think any less of you! everyone has their breaking points, talk about it no matter how embarrest you may be. People will not think your a less of a first responder.
