My Training:
I am currently an intern at Forest Grove Fire and Rescue. I work a 24 hour shift with 48 off. I went through our stations 3 month academy and secured a job as an intern. I am a first responder and working towards my EMT Basic.
About Me:
I want to be a paramedic/firefighter. I am part of a community church in Forest Grove. We hold gathered worship in our living room and share life together. It is communal church, meaning that we share common housing.
I used to train horses before I started as an intern.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I love what I do. I enjoy the people I work with and the physical nature of the job. There is nothing better than working together as a team to accomplish a common goal.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
of the people I work with and their willingness to share their passion of learning to me. Additionally, no one at my church is qualified for EMS work. I wanted to be able to assisst them if they were ever in need.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Conditions that we find our patients in. Both their physical location and state of being. I've seen a lot of emotional brokeness when entering a scene.
