I have been a middle school teacher for 20 years. When I moved from Memphis and married the Battilion Chief in McKenzie I decided I wanted to find out about the fire service. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I love it!!

it is the greatest thing I have ever been a part of.
Wow, i have not heard those names in forever. I'm sorry to hear about Mrs. Staten, she was one of the ones that wanted me out of Woodstock. I was not exactly the best brat in school. Alot of them where great. Any idea what happened to Mr Strong? I cant remember the name of my history teacher, but he was always sleeping in class. He would give us an assignment and he would go to his desk and take a nap, so we all joined him for the most part.
I grad in 90 so yeah i am a little younger than you but i don't feel it. LOL
Wow, it is a small world. I was in Woodstock back in the early 80's. The main one i remember is Jackie Lacky only cause she was the only one that did not send me to the office every day. All the others passed me just to get me out of that school:) LOL.
Actually i went to several schools there, Bartlett high, Woodstock, Horn Lake MS. and a couple others. I lived in Mid town for about a year and that was all i could handle of that, after that i went back to Bartlett. It is just much nicer there than anywhere else and i had a lot of friends there as well.
Welcome to the nation this is an amazing site and its pretty cool to be able to get the chance to talk to firefighters form other states but also other countries. so be safe and have fun. :)
I moved to San Antonio about 5 years ago and do not miss it at all. It is with out a doubt a night and day difference and would not move back.
I lived in Bartlet and in the city for 25 years and made my way here with work but i do go back every once in a while to say hi to people i miss.
