Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My father was a Captain with BFRS. My uncle was a Lt. My great uncle was a training chief. I guess you could say it was in my genes.

Top Issues Facing Responders:
In Birmingham, our biggest problem is paramedic recruitment and retention despite a recent LARGE raise and a rotation policy which allows medics to get off the band-aid wagon and ride 4 months out of the year on the engine.
