Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Because I needed more navy blue shirts in my closet.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: it is all the pee, poop, and puke you could ask for. That, and stupid people are job security.

I am involved with the IAFF Union L781, the fire department Honor Guard, Kansas City Metro Firefighters Emerald Society, and a summer camp for kids with Downs Syndrome and other special needs: Camp Moja.

I dig motorcycles, mountain biking, some Science nerdy stuff (astrophysics, theoretical physics)-- gimme a break I was a science major once okay?

My heroes (in no particular order) are Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Jim Henson, Steve Martin, and my father.

I spent some time out there mid-july last year (dumb enough to voluntarily spend time with the Army MP's for a law enforcement training bootcamp/leadership academy) and it was definitely pretty yicky weather wise
