About Me:

I am 23 years old and have been a volunteer firefighter since I was 16. I also serve as the Treasurer for my company's Relief Association. I am in the process of becoming a driver at my station, but that process has been long in the making. I love what I do and I love the guys that are at my station. I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. They have supported me through everything that I have done and they are my second family. I also help my dad with his business, S.M. Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Firefighting runs in my blood. My father is a former chief and is currently the Fire Marshal at the same station that I run at. I've wanted to be a firefighter since I was a little kid cause I always wanted to be like my father...and still do.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I get to help people and serve my community in a way that many people do not get the chance to do

Top Issues Facing Responders:

For me being a girl, it is sometimes hard to find things that come in a size that will fit me. That is one of the things that my dad has been very good about with his business. There are a lot of female firefighters in our area and he wants to be able to outfit them with things that fit them and have the sizes for the guys.
