Best way to carry items.

I work as a Fire Marshal and cover a lot of ground doing my day to day work.  I have about 20+ buildings that I check on a monthly/random basis (Life Safety Code, Monthly Extinguisher checks, Drills, etc).  I typically carry: Notebook, Radio, flashlight, Cell Phone, a portable scanner for extinguishers (basically like what they use at a grocery store for stocking), building keys and car keys.  I also have an 800mhz radio but I normally keep it at my desk or in the vehicle and at times will have…See More

"a utility belt does not have to be worn as it can be carried by the belt strap over the shoulder. a carpenters pouch may be handy but in the case of the scanner it could fall out and be damaged without some means of securing it to the pouch utility…"
